Go URL is a URL shortening service for University of Nebraska–Lincoln related content. Use this when you would like a shorter URL with the unl.edu domain. Go URL comes in two basic forms. One randomly generates your shortened URL. The second offers the opportunity to create your own custom URL which may be useful for marketing purposes. You can augment your URL with Google Analytics campaign information as well.
Whichever method you choose, your shortened URL is produced along with a QR Code that can be used in printed material.
Features for logged-in users
This link will give you a list of all GoURLs you have created, with the ability to sort them by name, group, number of redirects, created date, and more. From this screen, you have easy access to the QR Code, editing functions, and redirect reset.
This link allows you to manage groups of your GoURLs. You can edit or delete existing groups, or create a new group. When creating a new group, you'll be asked to give that group a name, and assign members to it. Once the group is created, you can either add new GoURLs to that group, or edit existing GoURLs to add them to a specific group or groups.
This link allows you to look up GoURLs to see if they are being used and if so, how recently they were accessed.
