Slacktivity

Is there a way per page to tell search bots not to crawl, as there was in the last CMS?
No, we don’t have Metatag tab on each page. You can delist an entire site from Configuration → Metatag.  We can have the discussion about adding the Metatag tab on every page. Only reason not to is the concern with overwhelming the interface for the typical Site Admin.

I mistakenly deleted the wrong pages from a website. Is there an easy way to retrieve them?
Unfortunately, there is not. Your best bet is to hit https://archive.org and see if the pages were captured there.

Reminder: Temporary Transition Pages are not permanent

Make a plan to audit and/or transition these pages to Builder pages or other content types by the upcoming deadlines, which were voted on and approved by the WDN Shared Governance Board:
Jan 5, 2026: Temporary Transition Pages permanently unpublished

WebAudit Metrics

  • Slightly revision in how scores are being reported this month.
  • WATCH YOUR LINKS! With all sites live in the new system, some links may have changed. CMS sites have a built-in page (ReportsTop 'page not found' errors) that shows a list of URLs that users are visiting that result in Not Found being shown.

CMS updates

Currently live on sites:

  • Drupal 11 Upgrade Status: Upgrade to 10.2 was made
  • WDN 6 on Drupal: Upgrade to WDN 6 framework. (Has not yet been activated on every site)
  • Access Denied Messages: Troubleshoot and resolve access denied messages on some pages on some sites.

News Content Type: The “More” link button will now appear on /tag/tag-name pages when only news items are listed. In this case, the pager is hidden, and the “More” link directs users to /tag/tag-name/news. We recommend using /tag/tag-name/news exclusively for news items unless you also want to include other tagged Builder content on /tag/tag-name.

Data Layer Module: The Data Layer module is enabled to expose structured data via the dataLayer object, allowing integration with tools like Google Tag Manager.

WebAudit Fixes

  • Resolved color contrast issues in Contact blocks on Majors and Major Option pages.
  • Fixed color contrast issues in the Tandem component, such as on the lightest and lighter-gray background options.
  • Fixed issue where taxonomy pages included a <header> inside a <footer> after pagination.
  • Replaced incorrect <p> tag with a <div> around the node.n_person_bio info.
